Beautiful animals but they can be very destructive to the landscaping...........a problem we have caused by building in their domain. I just checked your profile to see in which part of the US you reside. (Just wondering where the snow was falling over your side of 'The Pond'. :) )We have very frosty and cold weather here at present, albeit with lots of lovely sunshine. deuces wild Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2007 The picture was taken just moments before I posted it here. We woke up to -5F with winds last night approaching 35 mph. My wife threw it a couple of apples to eat.........something she should not have done as it is not good to feed these creatures. It is best to let nature take it's course. It is best to let nature take it's course.How very beautiful!I do so envy you.We feel very privelidged to live in an area where there is a birdlife preservation area. Our garden backs on to a "flood plane" from the local river, which thankfully is unlikely to ever be developed. We are privy to some wonderful unexpected sights of wildlife, let alone local farmers stock of cattle and sheep. One year, we witnessed the birth of two separate calf births, just over the garden fence. It was awe inspiring!! I do all sorts of things to entice the local wildlife to our garden.
