WINDOWS DEFENDER

Recommended Posts

To the best of my knowledge there are only one or two forum members who use Windows Defender. To the best of our knowledge it has never found anything on anyones computer. Many of us use the free version of This, and the free version of This. We also like this one that does not scan but blocks Spyware. Here.

I have Windows Defender and it's scheduled to check for updates before doing the daily scan. Have you set your options, which are under tools?

Has it ever found anything on your computer?

No. but then neither has anything else. ;)

I promise that you won't regret it. Later on you may get one post on here saying that he does not use SUPERAntiSpyware, but in the main it is well thought of on here.

Oddly enough, the theme of this thread is one thing I agree wholeheartedly about with andsome. His anti-spyware etc is my anti-spyware. And, though I have not uninstalled WD, I get no feeling that is is any sort of protection.

I actually have both Windows Defender and SuperAntispyware installed.

Windows Defender is acheduled to update and run each day 18:00hrs. I then run SuperAntispyware opccasionally. Hopefully, if the need should ever arise, whatever one didn't pick up, the other would. ;)

I'm a safety girl! :D
