andsome
I don't have shares these days. I used to save in unit trusts to spread the risk, and these were all in Peps. Just before the last stock market tumble, I transferred everything to Corporate Bonds. I was just in time.If M and S do take over Sainsbury's, I hope that they don't match M and S prices for food etc.

Irene
I'm sure M & S would hike the prices up. :( Then what we poor old pensioners do without the 'reduced' items in Sainsbury's?We've sampled some wonderful delights from their reduced section. Tried things I wouldn't dream of paying the asking price. New types, to us, of game, fish, meat etc.. B)I love experimenting with new recipes and adventurous cooking. Particularly with a glass of wine to hand of course. ;)
