The generally available version of DKL is 7; however you can download DK Lite version 9 from http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/software/idu/ (as part of the IntelĀ® Desktop Utilities version 2.1.9.66). I just had a little reading of the README file for DK9 Lite; it saysThis edition of Diskeeper is supported on on Intel x86 platforms (or compatible) running Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP.Now I don't know if AMD is x86 compatible...?I do not know if there are any or what changes since DK7 Lite, but if you know me, you know that I always go for the newest software. When you run that executable, it will just extract a series of directories and subdirectories with various installers; you probably point the result somewhere like "C:\My Download Files\Intel" or such.It will create a directory 'IDU_2.1.9.66' with subdirectories '3rdparty', 'awinstaller', 'drivers', 'smbios', and 'smbus'. '3rdparty' contains the 'Diskeeper' subdirectory with the DK9 Lite installer. Don't use the 'Diskeeper.64' directory; I guess it contains the 64bit installer.Most other tools in that download are Intel-specific tools, so just delete them after the extract.Let me know how it goes with DK9 Lite - better than 7...?P.S. it contains a nag pop-up to buy the full product; I hope that this is not too annoying for you.
