PLEASE HELP!

I recently had StyleXP (I have since uninstalled it), and when I boot it gives me two options, Windows XP & Windows XP (bootscreen).

This happened when I tried to change the bootscreen using StyleXP some warning came up, and now at boot that thing happens!

Panarchy it bit more detail might help but you only need to post it once. You seem to be fiddling a lot instead of getting on with your homework. By the way didn't you say this was a school issued PC?

I have Googled Style XP, and several of the download sites get a red danger flag from McAffee Site Advisor. It is possible that you have downloaded a nasty. There is so much rubbish out there for download. You should not be risking these programs without a proper back up on a separate hard drive. Can you do a System restore to before you installed this program? If you want to try things out in future, I would suggest that you ask on here first.

i changed my bootscreen too, but it worked -and still does- perfectly for me

i recommend Stardock's Bootskin

and is the error still occuring, or did it still occure when you removed the program? please explain

maybe if you install Bootskin and change the bootscreen back to normal, you wont have that error any more...
