vagg Posted February 22, 2007 Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 My computer was just redone and now I seem to have a problem with Windows automatic updates not staying on.I have to activate it manually each time I start up.I have turned them on threw the tool bar and the start menue...Any ideas? If so, I would ask them to reactivate Auto Update, as this is an essential function of Windows.But anyway, you could also try (first) to activate it through Microsoft Update - I think you can enable it from there. First it says "Checking for Updates". Then the next screen shows two buttons, Express and Custom. Don't touch these yet! Now look to the right and you will see a box referring to Automatic Updates.
