It's just that I cannot understand peoples haste, especially when an upgrade is the route they are taking. I well remember all the problems on here and other forums that people who were upgrading experienced. As far as I am concerned there is NO WAY that I would even give a passing thought to that. If and when I have another computer, it may well be one built with Vista in mind, and that would certainly NOT be until such time as software will run on it. We are already seeing quite a few problems where people have jumped on the bandwagon, only to find that half their stuff will not run. If I do this in my country I would get a lot of laughs. The other point is that if you want a notebook with other OS you would pay a lot more. This is a reality. If you buy a notebook from a big reseller you have almost no chance of getting it without Vista. Here I have the option of getting one, but I dont like Acer. I like HP even Dell sometimes. These are not coming without Windows. The article was in sustaining my opinion about a notebook with Linux (or any other OS). And I know that was a big scandal about this (dell involved) last year.
