Irene
When I installed Virtual Earth a short while ago (subsequently uninstalled), I think it also installed .NET Framework 2.0.Although I have removed Virtual Earth, I see that the .NET is still there. Do I need this for any other purpose? Is there any benefit in retaining it?
-pops-
Quite a few things quietly use .Net framework. I would leave it installed. It's not doing any harm and I think it might be one of those things that could cause problems if it is removed not following the correct procedure. Coreper
note: MS .NET Framework 3.0 is the newest version [yes > even for XP]installing it might fix it
Irene
Thanks pops and Coreper. I am just doing a bit of housekeeping on the PC, but I think I'll just leave well alone. :D
