The china and enormous amount of packaging amounts to approximately 2.6+ kgs.Does anyone have experience of shipping to Japan and can advise me what the best, safest method/shipping would be for me? Bit risky.It's not really all that risky - with Ebay done properly you get paid into your Ebay account before you ship the goods.I have sold a couple of things on Ebay and bought quite a few - never had a problem. It's amazing how much money is just stored away in belongings which never see the light of day. All to often they get damaged during storage. :( My policy is never to send anything out untill I have received the full amout in cleared funds, mostly through PayPal and very occasionally by cheque. I ensure that the cheques are showing as a cleared balance in my bank account before I mail out. ;) It's unbelievable what people will buy. But it seems that sometimes what is junk to one is treasure to another.This particular china which I have just sold, is a 1930's teaset. It is going to a Tokyo antique dealer. When I emailed about the exhorbitant shipping cost, they just said send it in two parcels. This way each parcel will be below the maximum 2kg for Royal Mail Airmail. Having now emailed my costs of shipping (P & P), which would be on a 'signed-for' basis, I now await approval, then payment before I do anything else. :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
