Just because people do not use messenger services does not necessarily mean that they are stuck in a time warp.

Thank you Alan. Saves me the trouble of replying. I'm afraid that some people like to dictate just what should be used on other peoples computers. e.g "Get rid of IE and use FF". People choose what they want and what they don't want.

Well i never had that kind of ( or any ) trouble with it when i had it in Win2000....

The only reason i said that was - it seems like every time i see a thread like this that you've replied in you alway's seem to be in a disagreement with the software being discussed , ( Firefox ) - "no thank's , I'll pass thank you" <> ( Yahoo service/software ) - "i'll pass , thank's"

I believe that andsome did try Firefox, but did not like it and went back to IE.

And I said people who do not use Messenger services are not stuck in a time warp, the same as people who do not bother with text messaging, it is their choice.

You buy or build your computer and you put on it what you want, and it is not for other members of this forum to critcise anyone because they say they do not like any applications that are suggested.

A friend of mine has gaim in XP , he's never mentioned any kind of problems with it...! , so.? , how does it not intergrate well..?

That's totally fine with me , he can use whatever he want's - i personally happen to think that IE sucks and if i ever purchase a new computer i will promptly un-install IE from it...

Couldn't have replied better myself Alan. I did give FF a try and removed it within a day or two. If I reply to any post in a negative fashion regarding software, it is because peoples opinions have been sought. If I have experienced a problem I will say so.
