-pops- Posted March 20, 2007 Report Share Posted March 20, 2007 My "son in law" is a 747 captain (although not for BA nowadays) and he says that there is some stretching of the actualité in this story.It is not unusual for passengers to die during flights, especially long haul and there are defined and established procedures for the crew to follow to deal with the body and cause least disruption to other passengers - this does not involve dumping them next to other (living) passengers. There are parts of an aircraft that passengers never normally see which are readily adaptable for eventualities like that one.The only circumstances he can imagine where this could have occurred is if there were multiple deaths on the flight - which might lead one to suspect the catering! Although I suppose it could just make a mess of another plane's engine (a body strike) if all the bodies left floating about up there were not marked on a navigation chart.
