Panarchy
I want my FF homepage to always stay on the default (google.com.au/firefox) but very often, it just goes to about:blank instead. I keep on changing it, and then it keep on changing back. This has been happening for a while. Please tell me how to fix this as it has gotten really annoying.Panarchy
-pops-
This is most likely an infection by Cool Web Search - a hijacker or virus.Have a look: click here or here.Disclaimer: I have not tried either of these "cures" suggested in the links. -pops-
I think Spybot S&D will remove it as well.
nellie2
when you say it goes to about:blank, do you just get a blank page or a page of links? The coolweb infection that -pops- is referring to is an IE specific infection... I wouldn't expect Firefox to suffer from it. I've attached a screenshot of my FF options setup, is yours the same? Panarchy
Exactly.I don't think it is spyware, after all it is the latest version of FF.
Thos
I cannot comment on Panarchy's specific question, but I deliberately have set my "home page" in IE7 as "about blank". I find it saves time.
