Comodo Firewall warns me of any changes and asks permission to allow or deny them. I have downloaded it to a folder and will delay installing it until I get more information.I don't think that this can be compared with Go Back. No. Read the detail about it.Regarding my caution about MS software, I am fairly happy with it when it has been tested and used by others - as Windows has but, following some disasters in the past installing other MS programs and updates which have caused Windows to collapse and in two cases caused me to have to re-install Windows, I am quite reasonably cautious about loading anything that I am not sure about. I will not install Windows updates until several days after they have been issued because of this.Yes, OK, I have backups and everything like that but I would rather not have to go to the fuss and bother of using them unless absolutely necessary and if I can get reassurance that some software has been looked at by someone I trust, I will be more amenable to using it. I believe the system works by checking a system restore point vs the current system.20 minutes to scan.Also, it does not create a shortcut. andsome Posted March 31, 2007 Report Share Posted March 31, 2007 I am an impetuous fool. I bit the bullet and installed the program. I could not understand the report, so decided to get rid of it. It does NOT appear in Add/Remove programs. Neither the system restore point that I created before installation, or the one created by the program itself will work. It wasn't much bother to install the image, It downloaded while I had some breakfast. Anyone who tries this program without the security of a backup is asking for trouble. If ever something strange starts on your system, you can use the tool to see what has changed on your system over the last (max.) 21 days.It is version 1.0, so it hasn't been much tested (in the field) yet.
