1 PC: Double usage

hi, ive got a few [very?] complicated questions for you guys, but before telling it, i will tell my story:

ive got 2 GB of RAM [twice 512 and once 1 GB], a Dual Core Processor [2x 2.2 Ghz] {AMD}, two 256 MB 7600 nVidia videocards.

lets say i would connect another monitor [on the other videocard], mouse and keyboard,

then i would use a desktop manager to display a different desktop at both monitors

now here are my questions:

1. would it be possible that i could use both desktops at the same time [using the 2 monitors, keyboards and mouses]?

2. if yes, would it be possible to "fake" a LAN/network connection and use the two desktops to play a game together?

i have been wanting to know this for a very long time, so just let me know if your interested or if you have any piece of help [even the very small bits are helpfull!]

btw:

to get multiple desktops, you should use a desktop manager

for example: Windows Desktop Manager > but this one only allows you to use 1 at the time...

I can't give you a difinitive answer but logic tells me that this wouldn't be possible as you only have one operating system and one registry,.. however you should be able to run Virtual PC;s quite happily so you could network the VPC with your main system and do it like that........... I think.

Nel's right. A virtual PC is the only way to do this.

You can get a KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch and have 1 computer be able to be used by multiple people, but not at the same time, and not with seperate desktops and network interfaces.
