ross62 Posted April 21, 2007 Report Share Posted April 21, 2007 i have a external drive [1st time ] ,if it turned on when booting ,stops booting asking to press ctrl+alt+del so turn off external drive press those keys and boots up normal. When it reached the point where it stopped booting, I just turned off the external HD.Now, for some strange reason it no longer stops the boot up. . I have no idea why or how!! andsome Posted April 22, 2007 Report Share Posted April 22, 2007 I have an external hard drive on which I keep my Acronis images. I see no reason to let it run continuously. Mine is usually turned off, but if I forgot to turn it off after use, that is when my situation occurred.However, as I said previously, it no longer halts the bootup.
