AlanHo Posted May 2, 2007 Report Share Posted May 2, 2007 I am thinking of buying a Siemens Gigaset E455 telephone system for my home - but cannot find any information whether they are compatible with my Telewest (Virgin Media) cable system. Especially caller display.I bought some Synergy phones 4 years ago and found out the hard way that they were incompatible with telewest caller display - fortunately the retailer took pity on me and allowed me to return them.Siemens cannot guarantee they will work, neither can Virgin Media or the phone retailer.Anyone out there who can throw some light on the situation...? I have called Siemens customer support but they were not able to help other than to say the phones are fine on BT lines. I called telewest - but they don't have info on which phones are compatible with their system and which are not. The retailer was sure BT lines were OK and cable might work - wasn't sure - and was unwilling to sell on a promise he would accept them back if they didn't do what I need.
