mark2
in editing my works webpage .Originally created using Nvu, I managed to break it earlier this evening and lost the images, however I think I've now sorted that.I now want to tinker a little more and add a border to the page to try and "focus" things more to the centre rather than having the text begin at the edge of the page. How do I manage this ?At the moment the page is purely to make me more overworked/underpaid as an online advertisement but I'm looking for suggestions and opinions on how to improve for the future. mark2
Currently when viewed at 1024 it is acceptable but when viewed on larger screens the grey does overpower the images and text a little. So I'd like to keep the grey to a fixed size by placing a border that expands to fill the screen rather than allowing the grey to overpower everything.hope that makes some senseNow have a border, need to view it at larger resolutions, any volunteers ? mcb2001
first of all:you want relative positioning, which is rather hard, when you have used absoulet positioning (if you have any clue about what i mean).Second:You might wanna copy out the images and text, and simply rewrite the page, i for sure knows it would take me a max of 10 minutes to do so. So in case you really need some help, descripe in detail what you want with the page, and ill write it for you... keeping the same colourscheme and text font. mark2
first of all:you want relative positioning, which is rather hard, when you have used absoulet positioning (if you have any clue about what i mean).I think I do, originally that was how my page began, but at the higher resolutions everything seemed to become lost and too spread apart :( Second:.......... and simply rewrite the page, i for sure knows it would take me a max of 10 minutes to do so. After 2 hrs tinkering and stirring up my grey mush I call a brain, I finally settled on that layout, then a couple of hours learning/making mistakes/ breaking/restarting etc. So in case you really need some help, descripe in detail what you want with the page, and ill write it for you... keeping the same colourscheme and text font. You have a PM. rong
The content was better yesterday, it's quite small now and the picture very dark.

rong
That's to big now and the picture is still dark, I am on a 19 CTR at 1280 x 1024. The picture was allot clearer last night ie you could easily see all the detail in it.

rong
That fits well, but the picture needs adjusting still for brightness, you had it good last night.
mark2
I can only make the assumption that the background/border is perhaps making it look darker I'll try to brighten it up in pspedit : done
