It is the date my son will leave for Parris Island, SC for US Marine Corp. basic training (12 weeks), with a 5 year commitment to the Corps.He is slotted to go into the Military Police training following his successful completion of boot camp. After his 5 year term he would like to be a State Highway Patrol Officer or Police Officer. My family is very proud of him and his decision. :D BTW: Please do not turn this thread into an anti or pro war thread as it has nothing to do with the message I am conveying or his decision to enlist.
