I have windows, but people keep telling me SOMETHING GHOST, (is it norton) is better, i dont want to pay for it, so what best, also my comp runs very slow, what can i download for free to get it quicker.

If you want a good, free firewall, try COMODO. You must turn off the Windows XP firewall before installing it. However, the COMODO firewall must be properly configured before you can use it. This can be difficult for inexperienced users, so it may be easier to stick with the Windows firewall.

It took me hours to uninstall a corrupt Norton program, including e mails from one of their technical bods, several removal tools, and editing of the registry. This fact, together with nagging from pops, convinced me to reinstall Windows and buy Acronis. :D
