desuchan
OK, so here's the deal.I use Firefox. it's a damn excellent browser and owns IE imho.I also use Trillian because it beats MSN into the ground. However, I like to keep a tidy desktop. I like to have My computer in the top left, with my documents to it's right and the recycle bin to it's right. Basically, the icons grow from left to right across the top of the screen. At the other side of the screen, I have my Hard drives growing from right to left. so I have three icons in either top corner with none in the middle. I'll post pics below. Now, I was wondering. Is there a program I can get or a plug-in or whatever that will, when I download files to the desktop from previously mentioned programs, tell them to go to the bottom of my desktop as opposed to them all being listed down the left hand side. It just looks rubbish. I download files to the desktop so I can sort them out when I've finished what I'm doing. Less downtime, more productivity yadda yadda yadda...Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/6089/lolyg5.jpg
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum. Nice wallpaper I don't know the answer to your question; maybe there is a Firefox plugin that can do such a thing? There are tens of thousands of plugins and addins; maybe one can do that? If not, you could write one...?What I would suggest is not to download things to the Desktop. Download the things to 'My Download Files'. Create a Desktop shortcut that opens the Windows Explorer at 'My Download Files', and everything will be very easy, and your Desktop will be forever clean! andsome
I simply call my dedicated download file, 'My Downloads'. :D
Scarecrow Man
Nice desktop shot. Reminds me of this one. I would also recommend making a folder name "Downloads" or "My Downloads" this way you can place it wherever you would like and have any downloads go into that folder automatically.
