AlanHo
Vegetarians coming to dinner? Simply serve them a nice bit of steak or veal. Since they're always going on about how tofu, Quorn, meat substitute etc 'tastes exactly like the real thing', they won't know any difference. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
One of my vegetarian friends recently ordered a "tofu burger" at a vegetarian restaurant. She said that she took one bite, but it tasted so much like meat that she simply couldn't eat it.I cannot imagine why a vegetarian would want to eat something that tastes like meat??? catgate
I cannot imagine why a vegetarian would want to eat something that tastes like meat???That's the way of things. It is all about making things appear different to reality. Why do we need to have..... cheese and onion flavoured XXXX (fill in as required).........xxxxxx flavoured yogurt......xxxxxx flavoured sausage/burger,,,,,,,,,,,, xxxxxx washing up liquid etc.etc.
Watchful
My vegetarian daughter is the same; won't touch Quorn or anything similar because it tastes like meat. Not much point in manufacturing them is there?
andsome
Many veggie products are marketed as meat flavoured.
