My question is if anyone knows if it is possible for me to download Windows Vista legally so I can use my legal key to install on a new computer.BACKGROUND: I built a new computer in Oklahoma for college but windows Vista came in after I assembled the computer with Windows XP. At least I have not seen any legal download facility on the Microsoft website although I could have missed it. If I were you I would have someone at home mail out the disc to you, or, phone Microsoft helpline and ask them if it is possible to download. Thanks to those who helped.i got vista business from the msdnaa program as well. according to my instructor, you can get the software from anywhere (p2p, copied, etc) as long as you have a legal key to activate it with. all versions of the vista DVD are identical but the key (which is what you're ultimately paying for) is what tells the installation which version to install.i downloaded an unmodified vista ISO from bittorrent and used my key from msdnaa without a problem.
