andsome
I have alway fancied seeing both the Arctic and the Antarctic, but have never fancied cruising. The thought of all the time spent looking at the ocean, and then a few hectic hours in a port with little time to do anything just does not appeal. We much prefer to go somewhere for a few days, and get around and see the place thoroughly by road or rail. As you said, thank goodness everyone got off safely. The loss of the ship is nothing as long as the people are safe. :D
