bvw
When you install and run Bootvis it enables a a debug tool called the WMI GlobalLogger and does not turn it off when finished.Running a computer with GlobalLogger turned on creates a huge file called trace.log, which can rapidly fill your hard drive. After using Bootvis, go into the registry and find HKLM,System,Current Control Set,Control,WMI,GlobalLogger.Look at the value for Start. If it is set to 1, change it to 0.After a reboot, you can delete Windows\System32\Logfiles\WMI\Trace.log(never used it myself, tip found in this month's Computer Shopper)
mark2
Just checked my system, no sign of the trace log, registry set to 0, doesn't appear to be set as a default option here. :)
Guest VoG™
Same here - no sign of the log file and registry value set to 0. Just ran Bootvis yesterday as well, so it's a bit of a mystery.
