rong Posted December 28, 2007 Report Share Posted December 28, 2007 The answer has to be yes, the level of difficulty would depend on the make of car and if the model is made with them in a higher speck, if it is then all the wiring is probably all there and all you need is the motors. With a remote starter once the brake pedal is depressed it will kill the engine if the key is not in the ignition switch.I have remote start and love it but I highly recommend having it professionally installed. Mike567 Posted December 29, 2007 Author Report Share Posted December 29, 2007 From what you are saying, you have added security features.The idea of remote start is just joining two wires together, which is the same when you turn the ignition switch.But with yours it has added security features which costs a lot more, which I take it the car will either put your car into neutral or not engage remote start, My one it will try and start no matter what.With my budget it is not worth having it professionally installed unless I'm blowing a few hundered quid on the car, plus I'm rather good with a soldering iron :lol:.
