AlanHo Posted January 25, 2008 Report Share Posted January 25, 2008 Dwarves bag loot from coachesTHIEVES are using dwarves to rob long-distance coaches by packing them into suitcases and having them stowed in luggage holds.Baffled travellers across Europe are finding their cases looted when they reach their destinations, despite the fact that they have been locked away.And detectives say it is the work of crooks who employ mini accomplices to carry out the thefts – just like in blockbuster movie Ocean’s 12, in which a tiny acrobat was hidden inside a kit bag carried by Arsenal players on board their coach.One police source said: “Just when you think you’ve seen it all in this job, something like this comes along to surprise you.”The midget thieves are zipped into sports bags by criminals posing as passengers on coaches travelling across Europe.The bags are loaded into the hold. Once the coach is under way, the dwarves emerge to help themselves to valuables.Police say they have not ruled out the possibility that the gangs were using children, but dwarves are the main suspects.
