Boris
This SATA HDD Dock allows you to plug any 2.5" or 3.5" SATA Harddisk to your computer via USB or ESATA port, a powerful tool for data transfer, backup and cloning. It functions as a 2-port USB hub and card reader as well. The device is compatible with both PCs and Macs. http://usb.brando.com.hk/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00516Edit Sadly - not yet available in the UK :(
Chris
Yes I've seen this a few times and this is a newer model. It looks you can get it shipped to the UK, but shipping is $3 so you'll get it delivered when they can be bothered

Boris
Thanks -pops- unfortunately most of the drives I get asked to try and recover stuff from are still IDE, not SATA :(
-pops-
For USB to IDE conversion I use these:http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130517Cheap but they work OK. I don't think they're designed to be a permanent fixture, though. My son (who has several) has had one of the supplied PSU units fail.
