jigger13 Posted July 20, 2008 Report Share Posted July 20, 2008 realy dont no what to do........ ive done a reg clean ive checked and double checked although i didnt have to... but i cant get the latest browsers or flash player 9 because the screen tells me that im using windows 95 or and unsuported opperating system on my computer under properties it says windows xp pro but other websites i.e the new windows messanger and adobe it just wont have any of it i realy dont no what to do. at 1 point opera let me download flash player 9 and its installed but the computer fails to recognise it and tells me i need to use flash player 7 for unsported operating systems ?????????? im no genius but ive done all i could cleaning the system deleting version and reinstalling them.. nothing works please help :( :lol: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Boris Posted July 20, 2008 Report Share Posted July 20, 2008 It is highly unlikely that your monitor would cause the problem - I'm using a vintage 1997 CRT one at the moment :)A repair will allow you to keep your current documents and applications intact but will reinstall Windows XP. This is not the same as a format and reinstall of Windows XP and is a lot less time consuming. There is very little in common between W95 and WXP apart from the word "Windows". The two systems are built on completely different engines.Have you ever used your computer in "Compatibility Mode" to simulate a Windows 95 operating environment for an old game or similar? jigger13 Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 20, 2008 in all fairness the settings in the start menu do say that im running xp... its just different sites that arnt picking up on it.. is it entirely possible my ip address may have something to do with it... as a while ago i bought some soft ware that changed my ip address whenever i wanted to to stop fraud ect do you think that it may have messed with my computer ??? jigger13 Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 20, 2008 wow what a day,,,,,,,,, finally managed to get flash player 9 to work by using the unistall and then the standalone crackin start............ its just everytime i log on to hotmail it says update you browser to the latest version of IE ( obviously knowing ive got IE 7) i entertain the idea by clicking update the browser then goes to the Ie 7 download screen only to tell me im already using Ie version 7 .... i mean whats all that about.... i do apologise as my gripe did start of under the right forum and has since tailed of slightly ... :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
