-pops-
Doesn't your web hosting company offer some templates? Also you can get basic web building software included in lots of graphics packages or how about the new Google one?https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogi...mp;passive=truePutting "web page builder" into Google will get over 7,000,000 hits. Panarchy
Hmm, thanks, some interesting ideas there...But (sorry about saying this!) I just want one that will give me the backend code (or is it frontend when used like this?) for use with Dreamweaver CS4 and Notepad2?Thanks in advance,Panarchy

-pops-
Not sure what you're requesting here. Are you asking for source code of commercial software? If you are then you should know that this is not the place to get it.For information, Dreamweaver has a very "steep learning curve" and is definitely not the thing to use if you want a web site on line in a short time. I've known people give up in frustration trying to use it although, it has to be said that it is very good software when used properly. -pops-
You don't remember asking for code? What's this then:-I just want one that will give me the backend code (or is it frontend when used like this?) for use with Dreamweaver CS4 and Notepad2?Thanks in advance,PanarchyI wrote at the beginning of my previous reply that I didn't fully understand what you were wanting and it was a question to you.Dreamweaver is not something that you can just load up and start using - as you have found out. It requires a lot of patience and more than a little practice to use effectively. You would be far better off initially, at least to get your site live, to use a fill-it-in WYSIWYG program which you asked about initially and I told you some sources. Google is accessible to everyone with an Internet connection - follow the suggestion in my first reply.
Panarchy
^I have some time on my hands before I print my business cards and get my business up & running. So in this time that I have, I thought a good use of my time would be to get this site working. And looking good/professional.Back to my question, free template site please?
-pops-
Refer to my first reply - look on Google, over 7,000,000 hits there must be something there that suits you or do you think someone here can magic something up for you out of nothing? We only have the same search facilities as you do.Doesn't your web host offer any? These will be easiest to use as they will be built to engage with the system. Panarchy
I have a 1 month free trial of terrible web hosting. Then I'm going with BlueHost, They're good. But in the meantime, I need to get some good templates to chose from and do what I can with them on Dreamweaver. -pops-
It is far from ideal to get a free template and stick it into Dreamweaver and expect a good result. If you urgently want to get on line, choose a template from one of the 7,000,000+ hits I refer you to, modify within the confines of what it is capable of and then start learning up on a dedicated web design program - be that Dreamweaver or anything else.Do you have MS Publisher available? There are some reasonable web templates in that.
Boris
I thought a good use of my time would be to get this site working. And looking good/professional.IMHO I would have thought that anyone who deems themselves to be "professional" would be able to find what you require with relatively little problem. :)Looking professional is one thing - being professional is quite different ! Scarecrow Man
FYI - KompoZer > Dreamweaver. For templates, just search for free templates. I can't even count the number of results provided. I, however, prefer starting from a blank page.
