Britain 'resolute' in its support of Afghanistan: PM

KABUL (AFP) — Britain is "utterly resolute" in supporting Afghanistan as it fights a Taliban-led insurgency and pursues democracy, Prime Minister Gordon Brown said during a visit to Kabul Thursday.

"We will not relax from our efforts to support reconstruction of Afghanistan because we understand that, with Afghanistan the frontline against the Taliban, what happens in Afghanistan affects the rest of the world," he said.

He can be awfully brave when he is out of the UK.

He wants one up the Khyber!!!

I see that we are to give them 120 million dollars, while they continue to supply countless tons of dope to our country.

...which will add to the National Debt as it is money that is going to have to be borrowed as the Treasury coffers are empty due to their mismanagement of the economy i.e. they put nothing away after a decade of UK growth.

We have one great big dope that we need to get rid of.

edit......Who has authorised this? Was it in a budget debated in parliament, or in a manifesto ?

Agreed.

Politicians think that they can do what they like after being elected and, even when it is in their election manifesto, it doesn't get implemented like in the example of the Euro referendum
