KeithA45
Hey guys,I want to buy and install a wireless card in my old Compaq SR1230NX, and right now, I have my eyes on this one. Will it work? What specifications do I need to look for that will tell me whether or not it will or won't work? Thanks, - Keith
catgate
It says on your link "System Requirements Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP". So providing you have a spare expansion slot available and you are not running Vista you may be OK.

With only 1 GB of RAM, It's not even worth putting Vista on it, let alone that I'm not a fan of Vista. But I'm a software guy, not hardware. Is there any specs I should look at? With RAM it's DDR vs DDR2 and Mhz, with Hard Drives it's RPM and SATA vs IDE, is there anything with wireless cards?

andsome
First check your system requirement then if it support then you can get it....................and also upgrade your OS which is support like vista..........I would think that you are far too late to reply to this thread. It was started six months ago. :D
