CurlyWhirly Posted October 15, 2008 Report Share Posted October 15, 2008 Now just watch how rapidly energy prices stop where they are.I've just finished watching Martin Lewis's "It pays to watch" and he says that gas might not be going up by the recently announced 20% and may end up only going up by 10% or even lower.In any case, I think it's wrong that the price of gas is directly linked to the oil price because the 2 commodities are not directly linked to each other and also around 66% of the price of petrol/diesel is tax! The supermarkets were forced into this by a small independent family run petrol station, they were the first to cut prices. the local supermarkets were forced to follow suite.
