New softwear.

Hi. I've just recived an email from Microsoft about an update for the Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2.

My O/S is Vista. And I'am using Mozilla Firefox for the internet.

My question is that,if I install this softwear,Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2,Will this affect in anyway,with my Mozilla Firefox. Will I have to reinstall Firefox again? Or will I not see any change?

I've got my computer as I want it and I dont want to change how it is.

On many times that I've downloaded updates,it has messed my computer up and to get it right I've had to do a restore point,which takes time.

Are you sure this is genuine? It is not like MS to do unsolicited emails like this.

Even so, I would never load Beta software on to a machine that has any importance to me.

Beta software is in early stages of development and, as such, is liable to contain bugs and errors which may play havoc with any part of your system.

If your machine is as you want it to be, avoid anything that might make it different.

Note: I have just spoken to someone who tells me that there can be problems with IE 8 and XPSP3 so, be careful all round.

I whole heartedly agree with pops on this one. Never download a Beta version of anything. Wait till they get the bugs ironed out first.

Also I think I am right when I say that Microsoft never e-mail anyone about their Software. Someone will correct me if I am wrong I'm sure.
