KIAaze Posted November 23, 2008 Report Share Posted November 23, 2008 I upgraded to service pack 3 today and the wireless stopped working.It saw the network, but wasn't able to connect to it (kept connecting, disconnecting).After making a few tests by changing the router settings, I noticed that unencrypted and WEP work, but not WPA(-PSK).I have a Sinus 1054 DSL router and am running windows XP pro.How can I fix this?edit:And wireless card:802.11g PCI Wireless Network Adapter Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You can use a different type of encryption for the connection, can't you?Yes, it was working before with WPA.I could use WEP and hide the SSID, but having cracked WEP once myself, I prefer using WPA. ;)After trying several things, I finally removed SP3 through the add/remove software window by checking "show updates".It seemed to work for a while, but now the internet suddenly doesn't work anymore.What's strange is that skype connects, "ping google.com" works (i.e. pinging IPs and nslookup work), but both IE7 and Firefox can't connect.I checked the connection settings of both browsers and they seem ok (no proxy).The network itself is set up correctly and working with WPA since i'm using it right now from my laptop (desktop PC is the one not working).
