monkeyhanger
I can't see the administrators finding a buyer for them. They have always been undercut on price from comet and some times the Dixon's \ curry's group. It wasn't long ago that comet were looking for a buyer. If we end up with a monopoly of one large retailer, prices are bound to rise. All in all not good news for the employee's, shareholders or consumers. Guest LB
It wasn't long ago that comet were looking for a buyer. If we end up with a monopoly of one large retailer, prices are bound to rise.with the supermarkets moving into electrical goods in the way that they have (despite the lack of quality) the chances of a monopoly have significantly decreased, not sure if that is good or bad though! Bluecow
I think alot of supermarkets sell shoddy electric goods and where named brands are offered the products tend not to be the latest models - it is a shame as the consumers choice is dwindling :( but such is the nature of retail. Tankus
ASDA is going to be crucial to the electrical market as it slowly transforms over to the Wal Mart ethos of buying in enormous bulk, of a select few products , and totally undercutting all completion...Untill they go bust.....
