Irene
Since a couple of weeks ago I have been having constant problems receiving Yahoo emails. The request box for Password confirmation constantly appears, even though I have check the box to remember it. I am now also receiving duplicate emails.I have carried out the instructions on KB290684 and KB284404, but the problems still persist.Does anyone have any idea what to do? I have spent hours carrying out a multitude of things to try to resolve the matter. It is driving me mad!!!(I also have this posted on Office Discussion Groups)

Dencandy
Irene, you are certaily not the only one. The standard Yahoo mailbox now looks like a rather crude Notepad document with a tiny little box in which to write emails. I tried changing to All-new Yahoo and just get a blank pale blue screen most of the time, but did I get proper screen once. I've followed all the instructions about clearing caches, accepting cookies, etc I've even made the log-in site a Trusted Site, but it still doesn't work.Since opening a Hotmail account a few years ago, I've only used Yahoo mail as a back up anyway (used to get endless spam on Yahoo). I've now opened a GMail account as a back-up and it seems to work perfectly, so now I'm just going to drop Yahoo completely. Hotmail works perfectly with Outlook and I've had very little spam with it in 4 years.Yahoo seems to have made their product unworkable, probably as an over-reaction to all the complaints about it having very weak protection against spammers. andsome
I have mentioned this before. When my son spent a year touring the world, he asked me to install yahoo messenger so that he could keep in touch. If Yahoo mail is anywhere as near as intrusive, and as big a pain as that was, then you would probably be much better off without it. The next problem that I had was getting rid of it. I ended up having to edit the registry. I won't let anything to do with yahoo anywhere near to my computer now. :D
CurlyWhirly
I've been using Yahoo mail for years with no problems :D My e-mail address ends co.uk as opposed to .com although I don't know if that makes a difference?
