Here's the thing I've recently re-installed windows after trying out linux (mad) and now most works but there are some stuff that annoy me for example when I try to install something (downloaded installer) when I click on it and press go it continues for a while but then says file is corrupt? What is this?

Also I'm a diablo player and I've just re-installed it and when I try download patch it keeps kicking me (disconnecting) I can't download the patch :/ And now I'm also installing wow and I'm afraid same problems will occur anyone know the problem here? What have I forgot to install?

Have you tried using "sfc /scannow" from Run ?

No I haven't but I tried now but how come it's asking for windows xp proffessional while I'm using home edition? I tried first with home edition disc but it said wrong disc :/ Luckily I got proffessional too.

K it's done and still same :/ Is there anything else I can do?

What happens when you try to install using the standard Windows installer? The main problem would seem to be with the NSIS installer.

Also, you can check the status of Windows & other programs using the Secunia Personal Software Inspector - it should tell you if any programs are missing patches, etc. It will also tell you what version of Windows & other software you have. You can get it HERE. A similar but more advanced inspector is available from BelArc.
