An amusing flying experience

On the flight back from Spain last Tuesday the senior cabin crew guy made his normal speech as we landed - welcoming us to Birmingham, thanking us for flying with BMI, hoping we had a good flight etc. All the usual stuff.

However - he added that due to the credit crunch BMI were having to save costs by relying on volunteers for various operational functions - in particular cleaning the aircraft toilets. He appealed for any passengers willing to do this before disembarking to announce their willingness by standing up before the captain extinguished the fasten seat belt light and whilst the aircraft was still moving.

It was possibly the first flight I have been on when there was not a flurry of people who got up from their seats before the plane came to a complete stop....... :D
