artist Posted March 9, 2009 Report Share Posted March 9, 2009 Is this a worm - I've been having trouble with slow searching on google and getting 'not responding' on OE and IE - even though it DOES respond - but 'in a minute' - like someone else is having a look first.I did Google it and the solution seems worrying to me - editing the registry. artist Posted March 9, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 9, 2009 Yes I have Adaware. I installed Malwarebytes for a week or so. It was after that the trouble started. I have only just noticed the entry for AAW. Yesterday I ran Adaware and AVG and CCleaner and did a 'clean up' and also a defrag.There was nothing on the scans.Something is definately slowing me down though........ artist Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 10, 2009 Well- I had a problem with my mouse -to cut a long story short, I had to go back to a restore point . It took out Adaware and the AAWService nuisance. There are no bits left, as far as I can see.It's a shame about Adaware as I always liked it.So I now have Malwarebytes.
