brambell Posted May 17, 2009 Report Share Posted May 17, 2009 Hi,Not sure if this is in the right forum section.I have got this problem when I try and use LG external super multi DVD rewritter on my machine. Model number GE20 LU10The problem is that when I install the software (using Nero Express )and try and burn an image using lightscribe software, it just freeze's and says that lightscribe is not responding.I have tryed uninstalling the software and installing again, but all that happen's is it just say's not responding. After about an hour, of installing the lightscribe software, my machine went all weired. Firefox stopped working and when I tryed to run other programs it justed froze.This has caused all problems for my machine.Can anyone help with this one. I once found an intruder on a CD recorder quite a few years ago.Talk about nasties. Cant say what caused it. It was running fine untill I used lightscribe. I then installed Nero software that come with the DVD Drive. This also install's the lightscribe software. After that, my computer just keeped freezing. I had to re-install windows to get my computer back to normal.With a clean install of windows, I installed the LG DVD Drive again and the Nero software. and the same thing happened, just froze.At first, I thought it was the Nero software that I had installed, but thinking about it, Nero was already pre-installed on the computer when I bought it. So I started thinking that it was the LG external DVD Drive that I was using. I took it back to PC World and told them about the problem that I was having. They was not sure what was causing the problem. So I got my money back and went else where and bought a Samsung external DVD Drive and installed it, went to lightscribe website and downloaded the software to run it and to my surprise, I was able to use the lightscribe and my computer run's fine now.So the problem was the LG DVD Drive.
