Hb_Kai
I've tried asking on the Adobe forums about this and I've not had a reply yet for a couple days at all so thought I may try here instead since people seem a lot more likely to answer, at least saying something, here than they are there.I downloaded the trial version of CS3 the other day, wanting to try it out and see what it's like, I got to the end of the installation and it saysA problem was encountered while trying to load the trial period for Adobe Photoshop CS3.Click Quit to see if restarting your computer or reinstalling the software fixes this problem. Otherwise, click Continue to display a screen where you can enter a valid serial number to begin using the product without trial. I'd rather not buy the software just yet, just want to try it out. I know CS3 is a little out-dated but due to pc requirements, I'm not able to run CS4 on my laptop, also I'm used to using CS3 as I used to use it on an old computer but for some reason it won't work on my laptop. I've tried reinstalling it, I've also tried to restart my laptop and the program and none of these got it to work. Is there anything else that can be done? Belatucadrus
I don't have an answer, but look here to see your not alone. It may be that the download has some form of date limitation and the only way I can think of testing this is to reset the PC clock to something like 2006 and see if it works then. Hb_Kai
Thanks for the reply :)Tried setting it to 2006, CS3's launch year, but that didn't work.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Could it be that you have already installed it once before? If so, you can't do a trial more than once.If not, try to remove anything related to CS3 by using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. On the other hand, why are you trying out an old software; why not try CS4? Hb_Kai
When I was looking up about the trials on the internet Adobe recommended CS4 be installed on computers with more RAM than what I have on my laptop and thought I might as well go with the one which I know how to use rather than the new one.And no, I've never had CS3 on this laptop before.
