johnoo Posted July 21, 2009 Report Share Posted July 21, 2009 Advise wanted, and I hope I have posted to the best Forum area.I have recently been getting a message to say that I have Low virtual memory.I have a AMD 7750 Dual Core 2.7GHz Processor fitted with 384Mb of Ram.to counteract this message I have changed the system setting so that the system Manages the Virtual memory size.Currently it has allocated 574Mb.My Hard Disc is only 11% utilised with space available 135731Mb.My questions are:-1 Did I make the best choise?2 Are there any impacts of changing the setting so that it is a "System Managed Size"?Thanks in advance for advise. The best thing to do is to manually allocate about three or four times RAM , then run crap cleaner and finally defrag.In my humble opinion you should see an improvement all round. I plead old age and insanity!It looks to me then as though there must be something preventing the full usage of you HD. Is there some sort of partitioning.
