zabrak Posted August 7, 2009 Report Share Posted August 7, 2009 My computer keeps automatically restarts when I boot it up so I figured a system restore should fix it...Not quite :(Ill get to the point where I just need to click on one more Next and it'll do it except it won't let me. Alan2273 Posted August 7, 2009 Report Share Posted August 7, 2009 From reading the threads Boris linked to, my advice would be to do a clean reinstall, but make sure you have all the drivers saved to an external source before you try this.An alternative would be a repair install but you need an XP disk for that. http://www.simplyguides.net/guides/repair_...lation_xp.shtmlOr if you have a factory reinstall option that will take it back to how it was when you originally got it.Either the repair option or factory reset option will require you to download all windows updates again.
