-pops-
As a first thought, the amount of RAM is very low to be able to run any types of games/flight simulators efficiently especially if part of that is taken to run other fixed hardware such as graphics cards. buggy285
how much ram should iI have to run this game?i only have to slots for memory
-pops-
At least 1GB, preferably more.As you only have two slots, I assume you have 1 x 256 and 1 x 512MB sticks of RAM. What I would do in your situation is remove the 256 MB stick and replace it with a 1 GB. You will then have 1.5GB memory and almost certainly a noticeable improvement in performance. Before you do anything, though, check in your computer manual that it is possible to upgrade to that level (occasionally it isn't possible). If everything is OK, visit the Crucial website and use their scanner to find the correct type of RAM for your machine.http://www.crucial.com/uk/
Boris
You are running a Pentium 4 2.4ghzFrom my own experience (I've just tried it out :) ) that sim will run (fairly well) on a Celeron 2.4ghz with 768Mb RAM - but with a dedicated graphics card.It requires the following minimum spec. :-PC with 1 GHz equivalent or higher processor OK256 MB of system RAM for Windows XP SP2 / 512 MB Vista OK32 MB DirectX 9 compatible video card requiredAs -pops- says more RAM will improve thingsWhat sort of graphics do you have ? Dedicated or on-board ?
Hb_Kai
System Requirements * Microsoft® Windows® XP SP2 / Vista * PC with 1 GHz equivalent or higher processor * 256 MB of system RAM for Windows XP SP2 / 512 MB Vista * 14 GB available hard disk space * DVD-ROM drive * 32 MB DirectX 9 compatible video card required * Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio * Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device * 56.6 Kbps or better modem for online play...these are minimum system requirements - recommended are usually another 25% more or so.
