ramon82
Need software to protect my work! thanksHi allI am doing a presentation with and wish to protect it in such a way that no one will be able to copy text from it and also if possible i want to insert a permanent watermark in it, to act as a copyright. Does anybody know of a good software (free) which allows you to do so?I am using a blend of power point / word editing. Thanks!
-pops-
I think you are asking the impossible here. If the big film studios are unable to prevent their epics being pirated, we have no chance at all.Yes, you can put watermarks on - there is a facility in Word to do this but this will not prevent anyone who is determined enough from doing whatever they want with your efforts. Hb_Kai
Only thing I can think of is, if you were to put all your work onto a website, you can disable the copy event using java script so people can't copy and paste your work from the web page - other than that, you can encrypt the files/folders from outside thieves on your PC.Don't know anything that will prevent what you're wanting though. As a temporary thing, you could try changing the file format when you are not using the file on Word and change the file name to something you will only know what it is, then change the directory at which it's stored in on your computer? Belatucadrus
Try Office Security OwnerGuard the personal edition is free. I've never used it so can't comment on its effectiveness, but may be worth a shot.
