Dencandy Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 I suggest you check your My Computer settings. Right click on Start, select Properties > Customize > Advanced. Scroll down till you come to My Computer, then check that the radio button next to "Display as Link" has a green dot in its centre. If not, click it to enable it, then make sure the other 2 items are NOT enabled. Click OK, OK, etc to return and try checking the commands for your USB again. However, they can also be taken over by well-known items of malware. So, as the previous poster says, run an uptodate anti-virus program on your computer without the USB device plugged in, then if all is clear, plug in the USB device and scan it with the anti-virus program.If all is clear, the problem is probably faulty hardware.
