jag Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a newly formatted Harddrive on another computer. It gives me the language screen, and the "Install" button, but I get the error that the DVD/CD drive does not have the correct drivers. I have tried to F8 during boot, and disable the device certification check. It still gives me the error. It allows me to browse to a location, but I can't find a driver for my HP 200i DVD drive. The HP site does not have a Window7 driver available.Drivers available on the web are exe files that I need to run, but I need don't have an operating system yet. -pops- Posted November 27, 2009 Report Share Posted November 27, 2009 I'm confused on this.Drivers for optical drives (CD, DVD) are normally included in the BIOS of the computer - the operating system relying on those drivers to permit its own install.Have I misunderstood the problem?
