I like the idea of files being backed up to an external source immediately you save them. Presumably - this is aimed at data rather than system files - and may not be fully effective for a complete system restore. I currently use Acronis for weekly C: drive back ups of the OS and programs. I use Second Copy to back up my D: drive for my data files which is set to take a back up of all files changed each time the computer is shut down. It also keeps archive copies of the last 2 versions of each file - handy for going back in time which has saved my bacon quite a few times when I have regretted saving changes to a document or photo etc.What intrigues me about BounceBack - if it does indeed work effectively - is the fact that it backs up all files in real time as they are changed without slowing down the computer noticeably. In the event of system failure you can immediately reboot from the external drive (USB or eSATA) and get going again with minimal interruption and restore your C: drive at leisure.
