Tankus
The GuardianThe UK has plummeted in rankings of the world's healthcare systems, coming 18th out of 19 industrialised countries, after researchers looked again at what constitutes good performance.Transport EducationPensionsAll going the same way ...Our overall tax burden is going up (inc. stealth ones) with no appreciable improvement in these services ......This country desperately needs to get rid of cheesy
Guest nellie2
Healthcare............. humph. I sat in casualty last Saturday night/ Sunday morning with a suspected broken wrist from midnight until 5 oclock in the morning. I was then told to go back at 9 o'clock for an X ray. The X ray dept isn't open over night. Good job it wasn't broken eh??? Was still bloody painfull all the same and the seats they have for you to sit on are metal... so by the time you get to see someone not only do you have whatever it was that brought you in in the first place but a bad case of bum ache too!!!! :(
-pops-
Being a relative newcomer to WF, this thread is new to me.There is a lot of sense expounded here and it matches my views expressed the other day about all British politicians being a load of self serving crooks.I bring up my point again: What happened to the Statesmen? The politicians who had a real concern for the job they were elected to do. The politicians who had a real concern for the people they were elected to represent. I don't recall a single one of them in all the years that I've been able to vote.
Tankus
There is no accountability anymore ...pops Political controls used to rely on a sense of honour , where if a minister got it wrong they would fall on their sword ......No chance of any of these spin doctorin' gravy train drivin' two faced degenerates doing anything of the like .I think the problem we have in this country, is that the type of person who is now inclined to become a "professional politico" is the very one most unsuitable to get the job......The country is going to the dogs ,with no bets on any winners ....We need a cull , bring back Guy Fawkes and start afresh ....!P.S. Nel ...sorry to hear you hurt yourself ....I hope it gets better soon , next time get a cab home from the pub , it must have been a good Sat night ...
