Scarthy © ® ™
Hi all ;),After a recent reformat/ reinstall of Windows XP Home (inc SP1). I decided to get Direct X 9.0b and WMP9 from Microsoft.I installed DX, then WMP9. The problem I have is this...When I minimise WMP9 to the task bar, the taskbar player does not appear? Instead there is the usual taskbar box saying WMP9. Where has it gone to? I have tried reinstalling WMP9 again, but no difference...Does anyone know of any reason why the taskbar player isn't working?;)Thanx in advance... mark2
The taskbar player did that to me too, uninstall/reinstall did nothing about it, One day it was back there, no idea what I did except I changed the default library location.
Scarthy © ® ™
I am downloading (slowly) about 46MB of updates from Windows Update...Maybe it's one of the files there that will cure it...???If anyone has any ideas please post, I will be back to check them... Scarthy © ® ™
Yes. And now it works! I did all the M$ updates and it still was the same...In the end it just came to me so I right clicked the taskbar and made sure that the Toolbars had "Windows Media Player" ticked...Was just coming here to post the result ! (should have come to the forum earlier);) Thanx guys...
Tankus
Make sure you have the default certificate authorisation ,set to off , ( In the options tab) I've also firewalled my WMP9 , because it can cause problems with playback on certain MP3's , or so Ive been told.....!
